I find it really strange that people put out bird feeders and go to extreme lengths to make sure squirrels don’t eat the food. This makes no sense people!
Everyone knows squirrels are cuter than birds. The way they fumble with nuts and acorns while performing mischevious acts - it’s irresistible.

When I get old and have a house, I’m going to put a huge squirrel feeder on the back porch. It’ll have a wide variety of fine nuts and a landing strip in case they’re flying in.
And if a bird tries to eat my squirrel food…so help me god.
