The Waitresses - Christmas Wrapping
My brother posted this bouncy New Wave Christmas tune on Tuesday. I got their album “Wasn’t Tomorrow Wonderful?” and am really digging it. They sound like Los Campesinos!, CSS or a less serious precursor to Riot Grrrl. One hit wonder my arse.
P.S. I feel dirty comparing an influential group to it’s modern degenerates, but I’ll be damned if I know what inspired The Waitresses. I’m not a rock historian, I just like pop music.
